Love the Unlovable

"If you [only] love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them." Luke 6:32 AMP

In His time on earth, Jesus came across all sorts of people who needed tremendous healing, miracles, and deliverance. He knew that regardless of how much He loved them and blessed them, those same people would soon turn around and curse Him and say the most horrific things of Him. He reminds us in this scripture that it is easy to be nice to the people we love. It’s easy to be kind when others are kind too.

The real love that God is calling us to operate in is loving those difficult people in our lives. The ones that we think may not deserve our love or our kindness. For if you love the people who love you that isn’t at all different from the world. However, loving those who are impossible to love, now that is a move of God that will surely bless you.

Let’s be kind to those who are not kind to us, not thinking of ourselves as better than them because of this act, but instead returning the love Jesus loves us with. You can do it! Put the pride and negative thoughts to the side and love with no filter on and God’s fragrance will saturate your life!

Heavenly Father, thank You for being the ultimate model in my life. Although it’s hard to love people that are not so lovable towards me I believe Your love will heal them just like it healed me. Today, help me love more like You in every way. In Jesus’ Name Amen.
