Walking like Jesus
"For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace." Romans 8:6 KJV
Intuition- the ability to understand something immediately, without the need for conscious reasoning (Oxford Dictionary) When we think of intuition, we think about our gut feelings. The labels we place on our ability to make the right decision are, on the surface, clear, but if you think about it deeper, it becomes unclear. The concept of intuition is still very perplexing to scientists—so the question is, how come we don’t always act on this "good intuition"?
Well, in this scripture, Paul reminds us that as we walk in the spirit by faith, instead of according to our flesh—our weak impulses and gut feelings are controlled by the spirit. Therefore, giving us the ability to be led to make the right decisions in our lives all the time. All of what scientists call intuition is actually the Holy Spirit that leads us into God’s perfect will. Whether you are facing a difficult decision today or simply trying to figure it all out. Whatever you do, don’t trust in your gut feeling because it is simply limited and unreliable carnal instincts. Instead, focus on being guided by the living and breathing word of God, for It leads you to prosperity, peace, and abundant life! So dust off your Bible and open it up to receive your guidance and blessings.
~ Father God, thank You for providing me with the Holy Spirit to guide me in all my ways. My gut feeling may fail me but Your voice always leads me in Your righteousness. I give You this day and ask that You will please open my eyes to see and ears to hear. For Christ has been made wisdom unto me. In Jesus’ Name Amen.
