A Dreamer
"Now Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it to his brothers, and they hated him even more."
Genesis 37:5 AMP
In the latter part of the book of Genesis, we see the promises of God beginning to manifest through Abraham’s descendants. More specifically, Jacob’s son Joseph. Now Joseph was favored by Jacob because it was a miracle that he was born at such an old age and from a barren womb. Obtaining a great favor from his dad provoked hatred in his brothers. Not only did they hate him for being favored, but they envied Joseph because he was a man of faith with big dreams!
There are times when the people around us will judge, hate, envy, and try to discourage you from dreaming big. God has placed something so beautiful inside of you that only you possess. The blessing and favor of God are upon you, and people cannot stand it! Don’t be discouraged if they mock your dreams. Continue your steadfast hope in Jesus and dream even bigger! When someone decides to hate or envy, it's because they don’t understand it and they aren’t aware that they actually want what you have. It’s all part of God’s plan to bring them closer. Today allow yourself to dream beyond the scope of your mind, dream limitlessly for our God is not limited!
Heavenly Father, thank You for the dreams you have placed in my heart. Make them so much bigger so that others may be a witness to your grand love. I am reaching for those dreams you’ve put inside of me knowing with You all things are possible. In Jesus’ Name Amen.
