Thank you goes a long way
By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.”Hebrews 13:15 (KJV)
When people get closer to God they try to modify their behavior in all sorts of ways. They think that one must sacrifice something important or pray in a specific way without making a mistake. Back then, yes, sacrifices and offerings were required to make things right with God. Again, things are different now. There are sacrifices and offerings of love.
The word of God tells us that we are able to love God because He actually loved us first! He didn’t decide to love us because we are perfect, He actually accepted us for who we are from the very beginning. He paid the ultimate sacrifice so that we wouldn’t have to. All He requires of us is to simply believe in Him. A simple "Thank you" from your lips is fruit He could never resist. When we praise Him we fill His heart and move His hand. It’s a sacrifice of praise to be humble and say yes to Jesus, even when the world is telling you no.
Heavenly Father, I say thank you today and every day. Let the fruit of my lips praise You all day long in Jesus’ name, Amen!
