Water in the Desert
"Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel." Exodus 17:6 KJV
After many days of traveling through the wilderness and after being liberated from Egypt, the children of Israel stopped at Rephidim. A place in the desert where they demanded Moses for water. When Moses cried out to the Lord for help, the solution came about. If it feels like you are roaming through a desert to get to where you want to go, it does not mean that you have stumbled upon failure.
In fact, this actually means that you are closer than ever to achieving those dreams, to achieving that house you have prayed for so long, or paying off that debt that has hung over your head for so long. The desert does not mean lack; it is an opportunity for God to demonstrate His great power in your life and strengthen your relationship with Him in building infallible trust.
You are stronger than you think and from the rock—Jesus Christ—you will receive those blessings that will surpass your needs. Get ready! For where you thought there was a dead end, think again, because a way has been made!
~ Father, thank You for everything, in my highs and what appears as my lows I will praise You anyway! Help me to build a stronger relationship with You, so that others may see Your faithfulness in my life. I believe and now I receive the breakthroughs in my life. In Jesus’ Name Amen.
