With Your whole Heart
"Whatever may be your task, work at it heartily (from the soul), as [something done] for the Lord and not for men,"Colossians 3:23 AMPC
We all have responsibilities, tasks, and standards to live up to. Even though these tasks may seem trivial to us, they are not. The truth is that there is a purpose in all of it. Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ—is encouraging the church at Colosse to do all things with their whole heart in reverence of God. Whether you are a janitor, a healthcare provider, or a cashier at McDonald’s, God calls us to do all things from the soul and with our whole heart.
It is not to honor men that you do this, but to honor God. Although you have an earthly occupation, there is a greater occupation assigned to you in the spirit. God has equipped you with all that you need, so do not despise small beginnings. Embrace every part of the journey. Let every aspect of your existence glorify God as the true excellence of Jesus Christ. You will be surprised by the reward and blessings to come!
Father God, thank You for making me integral and honest. Let my actions and my heart please You in all that I do. Allow Your excellent spirit to shine through me so others may see I serve the one and only true God. In Jesus’ Name Amen.
