Restore in Honor
"Even though the destroyer has destroyed Judah, the Lord will restore its honor. Israel’s vine has been stripped of branches, but he will restore its splendor." Nahum 2:2 NLT
The prophet’s name, Nahum, means comfort of God. During his time, the prophet was calling all the people of Nineveh—a city that had wholly departed from God—to repentance. Even though they were struggling and soon would be judged by God for their ways, the Lord extended His arm in grace and mercy, calling them closer to Him.
We are called to do exactly the same, extending mercy and grace to those who have hurt us and even to our own circumstances. We can approach them with grace! For whomever has caused you harm, whatever situation has overcome your life, the Lord says He will restore it in honor. Today, God is restoring in your life what you thought you had lost. He will display His beauty and splendor through your life. Everyone will see that there is no circumstance that can overcome you. The gifts and abilities God has equipped you with will only increase and exalt you into your bright victory!
~ Heavenly Father, Thank you for giving me a heart like Yours to walk in Your grace and mercy. I receive all of Your splendor today, and I believe You have set me up for greatness. There is nothing that can tear me down because You are with me. In Jesus’ Name Amen.
