Remember what God brought you out of

"It is a night to be much observed unto the LORD for bringing them out from the land of Egypt: this is that night of the LORD to be observed of all the children of Israel in their generations." Exodus 12:42 KJV

According to scientists, the way memories are formed is through connections of nerve cells, which results in the remapping of our brains. The good and the bad memories we have from childhood are all attached to a significant event.

In this scripture today and throughout the Bible God encourages us to remember Him. Remember the goodness of His love, His kindness, His amazing grace. Think about it this way, there was a point in time where you were going through something you thought you would never be able to overcome. Yet, you are here today, stronger than ever. God kept you through those moments and gave you a new life.

So let’s remember. He did it before, so He will do it again, even bigger this time! Whatever adversity you may be encountering today, observe God and let this action of reverencing God bring you out of that adversity.

Father God, thank You for helping me form new memories of joy. I am far better off today because You are with me. As I go about my day, please help me to love You and remember You with all my heart, mind, and soul. I know I’ll see You do it again! In Jesus’ Name Amen.
